Gavin J. Button, M.D. joined Orthopedic Specialists, P.C. in 2005. Dr. Button has extensive training in both general orthopedics and spine surgery. He is Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed two spine fellowships; one with Seattle Spine Group in Swedish Hospital and the second at the University of Washington. In addition he had five years general orthopedic training at the University of California Davis. Dr. Button holds significant interest in treatment of neck and low back conditions (both operative and non-operative conditions). He has additional interests in total joint replacements and arthroscopic knee and ligament reconstruction.

Dr. Button believes in a conservative approach to surgery exploring non-operative options prior to recommending surgical intervention. Such options might include physical therapy, medications, or epidural injections. He offers significant patient education relating to patient treatment and options knowing this will better enable his patients to understand their condition, prognosis and treatment options.
